Hey Pink Nerds,
I'm sorry but today, my post is going to be super short. The reason for that is because I have no clue what to post about. I don't know anything about what my readers are like from outside of Canada so I'd love to get suggestions from my readers on what to blog about. No lightbulbs have lit up above my head so I think I need more lightbulbs! Anyway, please comment on this post with any of suggestions for blog topics! You can also click here to view the Google+ page for Confessions of a Pink Nerdy Life, there, you can follow my page and comment with any suggestions.
Lots of Love,
Meaghan ♥
From shmarmy love stories to quirky pics, I promise that you will ♥ my blog. So go on and read with me in my pink nerdy life!

Beauty Obsession with 1950s Hair
To make up for my not posting recently, I decided to post twice today and I know exactly what to blog about! My recent obsession with hair from the 1950s.
Pin curls are fairly simple and easy to do after watching a few youtube tutorials (cherrydollface is a fantastic youtube channel for vintage hair tutorials!) Christina Aguilera is often seen with her hair in pin curls.
Katy Perry is almost always seen with vintage hair at award shows and even walking on the street. My hair isn't cut quite right to do this hairstyle but I still love it!
Who can like vintage hairstyles and not love the 'Rosie the Riveter' look? The answer is no one so of course I needed to include this picture.
Finally, there's Marilyn Monroe. An iconic woman from the fifties who I couldn't disclude. Her hair is gorgeous and there was no way I could ignore her. I still can't recreate her hair (I have no clue how to) but this is one of my favourite fifties hairstyles.
Lots of Love,
Meaghan ♥
Grease, Nailpolish and Subscribers
Hey Pink Nerds,
I know I haven't blogged recently but I've been awfully busy with Grease. Seeing as shows are in less than a month and we are now rehearsing at the theatre, rehearsals are getting longer and ending later. As much as they are tiring though, they are definetly worth it. The cast is super friendly, rehearsals are super fun and being on stage is always the highlight of my year! Anyway, hearing about Grease must be pretty boring so I'll move one with something else.
I must admit that there are a few things that I've been doing instead of blogging. Number one is reading Mockingjay of course but the second one is painting my nails. I swear that I have become obsessed with painting my nails with crackle nailpolish. This past week I've gone from red with black crackle, to blue with black crackle, to orange with black crackle and currently, ballerina pink with plack crackle. I was planning on taking a picture but for some reason my webcam isn't working so I guess no picture will be included :/ Oh well...
Anyway, I must go now but I'd like to add one more thing. Thank you so much to all the people in the world reading my blog but please subscribe! I'm so glad that you're out there reading and that my pageviews are finally shooting up but I'd love to have more than 6 subscribers (especially since I know them all really well!)

Dubstep, Catching Fire and Smiling - The Happiness Potion
Hey Pink Nerds,
I cried at school today. I have only cried once before at school. You know what's the saddest thing about that? The fact that the reasons why I've cried twice at school now was because of my teachers. I really just couldn't figure out a question on my science test and my teacher would not help me. I understand that she can't just give me the answer but I could've used a hint! Like 'the reason you can't get this answer is because another question is wrong'. That wouldn't be an answer and that was exactly what the problem was. In the end I got an 83% on my test and the question barely effected my grade. The other time was in grade 7 when my homeroom teacher got angry because I didn't show up for the spelling bee yearbook pic. I broke down in the hall and when she saw me she wasn't angry at all. My point is that I guess crying over stress is awfully pointless. In the end, things will turn out all right and just smiling is a whole lot better. I came home, blared dubstep music, read Catching Fire and looked in the mirror and smiled. Right then I felt way better and even when I called a friend and she said she didn't want to come to youth group on Friday, I didn't care, I just smiled. So from now on, I'm just going to try and smile. Even when I feel like there's nothing to smile about, I know that there will be soon. Plus, if I'm feeling down, I've always got my i-Pod and my e-reader nearby! So I guess I've discovered my perfect happiness potion; dubstep, Catching Fire and smiling but nobody's happiness potion is the same, so what's your?

Lake Placid
Dearest Pink Nerds,
I woke up this morning with an aching neck, a sore hip and awfully weak legs. I am terribly uncomfortable right now, but you know what? It was worth it! I spent Saturday and Sunday in the gorgeous Lake Placid. The sun was gleaming and warm air surrounded me, it was the perfect temperature plus... there were mounds of light fluffy snow falling from the clouds this morning. Could the weather be anymore perfect? I don't think so but what I spent my weekend doing made it all the better. On Saturday, I skied at White Face for 6 hours! The hills were massive so one run didn't take 6 minutes, it took 30 minutes on average :o GASP! I had so much fun but by the end, I was just looking for the nearest bed. I'm glad I finally got a vacation after all the stress from school but I wish I didn't have to go back on Tuesday. Emma, Olivia, how I envy you! At least I have the day off tomorrow too c:

Apologies & New Pages
Hello Pink Nerds,
I know I only have like 8 posts on my blog and I've had it since November so I'd like to offer my sincere apologies. I haven't had much time to blog but that's no excuse. Anyways, I will try to post as often as possible. FYI, I have several new pages on my blog and they all ready contain loads of videos, photos and short blurbs so please read them! I have recently become obsessed with photography so I will be posting plenty of lovely photos and there are tons of new songs and videos that I am totally in love with so I'll be sure to share those too! Also, I recently got an e-reader and I've been downloading millions of e-books so I'll let you know if they're any good.
Sorry for the shortness of this post but I must go now,
Meaghan ♥

Surprise! More than 6 people read my blog?! :o
So I was looking at the stats for "Confessions of a Pink Nerdy Life" and I noticed that you can actually see where the views are coming from. I was really surprised to see that it's not just my friends and 6 followers from Canada reading. Here are my stats:
Canada ~ 723
Russia ~ 21
United States ~ 10
Ukraine ~ 9
Germany ~ 6
France ~ 3
United Kingdom ~ 2
Argentina ~ 1
Croatia ~ 1
Mexico ~ 1
Wow, I had no clue! I felt so sad that I only had 6 followers but apparently there are many more people reading my blog than I thought! You can even see what product they're using to view my blog. I can also see what internet browser people are using and how they found my blog. One person typed in some of the lyrics to the song 'Monster' and it led them to my post entitled 'Monster' Plus there's tons of sites that refer to my blog that I didn't even know about!
Thank you to all my viewers/readers/bloggers. To view your blog stats, go to your blog, then click on the 'Design' button in the top right corner, then click 'Stats' and be amazed! c:

So I'm decently happy with this report card. It's nothing compared to last year but it's not that bad. I'm really glad that History will be over soon and I can't wait to see my algebra marks!!! But school is just one small part my life. On Saturday the 19th imma be going to Lake Placid for some epic White Face skiing, I can't wait!!! But that's no where near as exciting as the fact that I'm going to Charleston, South Carolina over March break! I've never gone somewhere that warm or that far South before so I'm SUPER psyched. It is be-a-you-tiful down there. The houses are a) rainbow coloured or b) mansions, two things that I love ♥ Thank God for my first real Winter escape! Got to go do algebra work sheets now :/
Bai Bai,Aren't the houses on Rainbow Row in Charleston, South Carolina beautiful? |

The Hunger Games ♥
So I just finished reading the first book of The Hunger Games and I am left obsessed. I got all 3 books for free on my e-reader so don't be surprised if I'm glued to my e-reader 24/7. Unfortunetely Andrew gave away the ending but I am still reading as intensly as ever anticipating the movie and craving to read more in Catching Fire. Luck has left me in terms of The Hunger Games movie's opening night for I have a Grease performance but I am determined to see it soon after the opening. To those of you who have already read The Hunger Games, you guys are awesome! To those of you who are in the middle of reading the series, don't stop! And to those of you who have not read the books yet, I assume that it is because of one of the following reasons, a) you are living under a rock b) you are too lazy to go pick up the book or c) you don't want to read the book. Either way you should really read it now and I promise you that you will not regret it. Go to your local library, Chapters, or hey, even Mrs.Carlsons class and start reading!
Peace my Pink Nerdy Friends♥
